This smoothie is my absolute favourite post-workout energizer at the moment. It's the perfect amount of chocolatey, healthy, delicious, nutrient-filled goodness. A great boost for after your workout, a quick lunch or a snack. The three main ingredients that give this smoothie its deliciousness are cacao powder, dates and flaxseeds. Sweet Chocolate Delight Smoothie Recipe
- 1 cup almond milk (try making my Homemade Almond Milk)
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- 1 scoop protein powder **I love Sun Warrior Raw Vegan Protein Powder, in chocolate flavour
- 1 cup of frozen or fresh kale
- 1 pitted mejdool date
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon cacao or cacao nibs
- 3 ice cubes if you aren't using frozen kale
**If you prefer your smoothie thicker, add less water and almond milk.
1. Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.
