It's healthy, homemade and it's an absolutely delicious ranch dip. I'm going to be completely straightforward and honest here...you know those dips and dressings you find at the grocery store. They are full of all sorts of ingredients that you probably don't recognize...a yucky variety of additives, preservatives, and sugars. I don't know about you but that's not at all appealing to me, my digestive system or my tastebuds. This is an easy and healthy option for a dip to eat with raw veggies. My guests love it when I serve it as one of my appetizers at dinner parties. Baking and making appetizers are probably two of my favourite things to do in the kitchen. Come on over anytime...hosting is my absolute favourite and there is nothing better than a group of amazing family and friends sitting around my island chatting, eating and enjoying each other's company. :) Okay back to the dip....lol....
The base of this dip is greek yogurt. Organic plain greek yogurt has quite a few health benefits. Greek yogurt is made by separating out the liquid whey and this results in a thicker texture with fewer carbohydrates and sugar, and more protein than regular yogurt. So if you are a regular yogurt eater, try switching to greek yogurt. Much more nutritious and a very easy, healthy adjustment to make to your diet. :)
Some of the amazing health benefits of greek yogurt include:
Full of protein. protein is vital to cell growth, building muscle, and repairing tissue. It's a great post-workout snack.
Packed with probiotics. Probiotics are live bacteria and yeast (good bacteria). They are great for your digestive system and keep your gut healthy. a healthy gut is essential to having a HEALTHY immune system.
loaded with vitamins. greek yogurt contains vitamin B12 and this is great for energy and proper brain function. it's also a great source of potassium, phosphorous, riboflavin, iodine, zinc, and vitamin B5.
I'm excited to share this recipe with you. I promise it's so easy and delicious. And it's healthy and you will know and recognize every single ingredient in it.
