My Happy, Zen, Stress-Free Present Lifestyle

The past few months have opened my eyes and my heart...to a world beyond what I usually see. I have been through low moments and high moments that have had me on a wild rollercoaster ride both emotionally and physically. I will definitely share these experiences in more detail with you in coming blog posts. But for now, let's talk about the amazing and powerful tools I have used to re-focus, re-energize and re-balance myself. And let me tell you...I am feeling better than ever! :)

 

COLOURING MYSELF CALM. YEP YOU READ THAT RIGHT...COLOURING. IT TAKES ME INTO THIS SWEET WORLD OF INNOCENCE, CREATIVITY AND CALMNESS. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED COLOURING WITH MY GIRLS BUT NOW I HAVE TAKEN TO DOING IT ON MY OWN AS WELL.  

GUIDED MEDITATION. I HAVE TURNED TO MEDITATION AT DIFFERENT POINTS IN MY LIFE AND I HAVE FINALLY REALIZED THAT IT NEEDS TO BE A PART OF MY DAILY LIFESTYLE. I MEDITATE EACH NIGHT BEFORE BED AND LET ME TELL YOU, IT'S JUST A BEAUTIFUL FEELING. IT PROMOTES RELAXATION, POSITIVITY, CALMNESS, LOVE, STRENGTH AND COMPASSION.

POWER OF PILATES. WHEN I SAY I LOVE PILATES, I REALLY MEAN I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE PILATES. IT'S PHYSICALLY CHALLENGING AND ALLOWS ME TO FEEL BALANCED AND MORE AWARE OF MY BODY AND MY POSTURE. 

practice yoga. it's been absolutely amazing reconnecting with my yoga mat after several years of a hiatus. yoga truly is the best MEDICINE for mind, body and soul.

Reading books. For years, I was an avid reader. But then life just got in the way and i didn't make it a priority. well that's changed now. i just finished reading a book and let me tell you how accomplished i felt. WOW, i haven't felt that in a long time. 

 

I just had to share some of these tools that have worked for me in re-focusing and rebalancing myself. And I will leave you with this...
